One Step at a Time

There are times along the journey where the road becomes exceedingly difficult. Chaos reigns and uncertainty seem to permeate every thought. You’re enticed to stop and rest – maybe permanently. In those dark moments, settling for a lesser life than the one you seek doesn’t seem so bad. Fatigue weighs heavy on you. The journey seems impossibly difficult and beyond your reach.

In these moments, it’s important to remember that the entirety of that journey is made up of single, individual steps. No matter how great the distance or difficult the road, it’s all a series of single steps. You don’t need to think of conquering the entire path, just the single step in front of you. When you conquer that one, you take the next. Keep taking them, one at a time, and you’ll soon find you’ve traveled farther than you could ever have imagined.
